FlagMag.com Names New Tournament Director

Huntersville, North Carolina (June 16, 2010) – FlagMag.com is proud to announce the hiring of Kurt Klier as new Tournament Director.  This appointment will become effective immediately with Kurt’s first order of business being the 11th Annual International Flag Football Festival to be held in late July in Foxboro, MA.

“I am very excited about this new venture,” stated Kurt.  “The people at FlagMag have created a tremendous program and I look forward to adding to what they have developed.  Our biggest event of the year is right around the corner with the International Festival so I am jumping in right away to get my hands around that.  I want to thank everyone for this opportunity.”

Klier is a Certified Recreational Specialist and will bring his wealth of experiences and knowledge to the FlagMag programs.  In addition to also currently holding the position of Intramural Sports Director at the University of Maryland, Kurt also held the same position at Cornell University and Coordinator of Intramural Sports at the University of Vermont.  The Ashland, Ohio native has received numerous national and regional awards for his work in the Intramural Recreational Sports field and specifically in the sport of Flag Football.
“I have a true passion for working with quality recreational programs,” added Klier.  “This position with FlagMag affords me the opportunity to grow that passion with their international and national flag football events.”
