DraftNasty.com Features Basketball Expert Ed Schilling
Huntersville, North Carolina (June 24, 2010) – With the NBA draft upon us, DraftNasty.com has been very busy with its coverage of the big event. Taking it a step further, the staff of Draftnasty.com focused on some behind the scenes aspects of what the top players in the draft are doing to prepare for their transition into professional basketball. In order to provide the most in depth look into this, they have partnered with one of the greatest basketball minds in the game today - Ed Schilling.
Schilling is currently Executive Director of Champions Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana where he works with players ranging from the prep level up through the college ranks. A former college star and Academic All-American at Miami (Ohio), he went on to become a very successful high school and college coach including his Assistant Coach role for the 1996 Final Four run with University of Massachusetts and Coach John Calipari.
Ed’s immense knowledge of the game of basketball has made him a popular choice for NBA draft prospects to reach out to for training and advice in preparation for one of the biggest steps of their life. In a partnership with St. Vincent Sports Performance, Schilling, also a former Assistant Coach with the New Jersey Nets, heads up the NBA Readiness Program which prepares top prospects for the upcoming draft as well as the impending professional season.
The DraftNasty.com and Ed Schilling partnership is featured in a three-part video series that is currently available on www.DraftNasty.com. The videos showcase a behind the scenes look at Schilling working with draft prospects such as former Butler University star and top NBA prospect Gordon Hayward.
“I am really impressed with the thoroughness of the DraftNasty.com crew,” stated Schilling. “They did a fantastic job of getting inside our program and offering a view of all of the sweat and work these guys put in as they prepare for draft night and hearing Commissioner Stern announce their name. I think everyone who gets the chance to see this behind the scenes footage will just love it. It was an honor for me to work with DraftNasty.com and I look forward to doing so again in the future.”
