Young Gun LaJoie Grabs
Top-20 Finish in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 7, 2016) - For the first time in a long time Corey LaJoie was behind the wheel of a NASCAR XFINITY Series ride for the second straight week.  After a lap one spin through the front stretch grass after contact from a fellow competitor, The JGL Racing Young Gun would display his talent as he steered the No. 24 Young Guns Toyota to a 19th-place finish in the running of the Boyd Gaming 300 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"It felt great to be back behind the wheel for the second week in a row," said LaJoie.  "I kicked off the rust a little last week and the second week of working with the crew started to pay dividends for us.  We had a little bad luck there on the first lap where another car got into the side of me coming off turn four and it sent me sliding through the grass.  But luckily it didn't do any damage to our No. 24 Toyota and we were able to recover from it."

LaJoie would start the running of the Boyd Gaming 300 from the 22nd position as a result of his qualifying efforts earlier in the day.  After a lap one spin through the front stretch grass after contact from a fellow competitor, LaJoie would patiently work his way back through the field and crack inside the top-20 by the midway point.  The JGL Racing Young Guns driver would maintain his track position during the second half of the 200-lap event to safely come home with a solid top-20 finish.

"I had a little mistake on pit road but in all it was a clean race for us," added Corey.  "We lacked some left rear grip which didn't allow me to get after it like I wanted to.  But everyone on this JGL Racing crew did an awesome job and I appreciate their hard work and this opportunity.  We have some exciting things coming up and I look forward to getting back behind the wheel of the No. 24 Toyota."

Corey Lajoie will return to the No. 24 Toyota for JGL Racing in two weeks when NASCAR wraps up the West Coast swing at Auto Club Speedway.
